Declining opportunities

How and when to decline a quote

When to decline a quote

Declining a quote will remove it from your Opportunities list. You can decline an Opportunity, whether it's a direct request or a marketplace quote

We recommend using the Decline feature as a way to keep your Opportunities list up-to-date. If you review an opportunity and decide that you do not want to quote it, declining the opportunity will remove it from your main Opportunities view. The quote will still remain in the Declined view.

Tip: If you review an opportunity, and it's not quite in your wheelhouse, consider offering Modified Specs as a way to optimize the packaging for your capabilities. With Modified Specs, you can not edit the product category on the quote, but you can edit the processes or materials.

How to decline an opportunity

  1. From the Opportunities view, choose an opportunity and click View Details.
  2. Click the Decline button on the right side.
  3. You'll be prompted to choose a location which your declining from, then a reason for declining the opportunity. The customer will be able to see this reason in the quote details.
