There are two places where you can message a customer with questions or updates: on quotes and on orders. When you receive a message, you'll get an email notification.
When you receive an email notification about a message in Lumi, you can reply directly to that email notification. Your reply will be sent to collaborators on that quote or order, and will also be visible in Lumi.
Email responses work with attachments too. Each notification also includes a link back to the conversation in Lumi, so you can quickly access all the documents and history.
Using this functionality ensures that all messages are also saved to Lumi, so that the message history is available to all collaborators, and that the information is not siloed.
When viewing a quote or order messages, click “add collaborators” above the message field. From there, you can view or update the list of current collaborators on a message thread. All collaborators will receive an email notification for new messages. Be sure to click “submit” to save any changes.
