Requests for packaging development

How to spec and quote requests for packaging development

Packaging development requests

In the Opportunities view, opportunities are tagged Needs Development when a user is producing an item for the first time and/or needs support to refine their specs.

Packaging development opportunities will have the following information:

  • Packaging type: i.e. Corrugated boxes, Mailers, etc.
  • Packaging usage: With details about what product the packaging is for, how it will be used, aesthetic considerations, etc.
  • Material, Printing, and Structure
  • Quantities: Quantity breaks and annual projected units

Packaging development details

When you click on a Needs Development opportunity you'll see some details about quantity and destination.

To learn more about the item, click Show details.

In the details, you'll see information about usage, material, printing, and structure, as well as any images or designs attached.

Submitting a quote

If you'd like to quote the opportunity, click Respond to Opportunity.

From here, you'll be taken to the standard quote screen.

  1. Click Suggest specs
  2. In the specifications window, you can fill out the required details: product, quantity, unit price, shipping, and production information.
  3. When you're ready to send the quote to the customer, click Submit quote.
